    Synched.

I'm just curious why you'd convert the usually-much-better SVCD into VCD, which is lower quality format.

Anyway, this is an error quite common. There are many tricks, which I'm sure people will suggest.

My lazy way just involves you demuxing the audio/video in TMPGenc. THen be sure the audio is the same length as the video. If not, open it in a sound editor and run a time strech on it to the exact length. remux it, and it should be fine.

You must have an error in your frames-per-second encoding somewhere. Rather than re-encoding, you can run my quick-fix and it should work.
I'm not online anymore. Ask BALDRICK, LORDSMURF or SATSTORM for help. PM's are ignored.

In Goldwave it's called Time Warp, you can use Sound Forge and some others.

  6. I will try those.
Do you have any idea on how I am suppose to encode video in the future so I would not have to go through this process again?
What was odd is part 2 and 3 of the movie ended up perfectly synched, but the first part was off about 5 seconds faster at the end.

All of them used the same vcd 29.97 standard. Should I be using the other framerate?

My re-encoding process is like this:
    Dvd2avi process audio and video
tmpenc set into vcd standard insert audio and video, set picture to full keep aspect ratio.

I dont think I could really be messing up on this but its possible.

  7. AGH!
Ok I tried goldwave and the synch is even worse!
From what I can tell its progressive perhaps I am encoding at a higher frame rate than the source. (How can I find out)
And the best is so far to allow it to encode normally and get the 15 second difference at the end of the disk.

Anyways im sure there have been people that have encoded it like this and had these problems.. just waiting for the correct answer.

  8. Bump.

Im really curious about how to fix this problem. I have not encountered such encoding problems before and I would like to learn why it does this.
