It always seems like there is something else to go wrong when a little something goes right. I had no problems importing my chapters into Maestro when I used Chapter Xtractor. Now I try to import chapters and "I get I-Frame insertion, entry frame rate is not consistent with current tape frame rate!" "I-Frame import will be cancelled!" I may be wrong, but I think I read somewhere that maestro will only import frames or something that are 23.97, and not 29.97, is that what may be causing this problem? If so, can anyone tell me how I can fix it? I think the movie I just encoded with DVD2SVCD was 29.97. One other thing to note is that usually I get two .MPV files. One with the word "pulldown" in it, the other just says encoded video file/CCE. This time I didn't get the .MPV file with the word "pulldown" in it, so I imported the .ac3 track and .MPV track that was there, and those imported fine, but I can't import the chapters now. Any help in how I can import the chapters would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

One other thing to note about this problem is that I just realized that the movie I am having a problem importing chapters with is "interlaced." The FPS are 29.97. I'm not sure the difference between interlaced and progressive, but I know when I encoded the file, DVD2SVCD is set to "no deinterlacing" , should I change that to "keep interlacing" being that the movie is "interlaced?" Or does that not make any difference? The .MPV AND .AC3 files loaded perfectly. It was just the chapters that wouln't load up and gave me that error. I've done a search on this forum of "all" sites and i've seen at least FOUR people with the same exact problem. Each of their posts had about 400 views each and not one single person replied. If anyone can help me or give me any ideas or info as to why this happened, please let me know. Thanks

@ Adder, I had that link printed out already. The movie was originally 29.97 FPS interlaced. I'm just curious what the pulldown would do. I"m not sure why DVD2SVCD didn't run pulldown automatically, it always has in the past. I'm thinking that all the other films were "progressive" though, and being that I still had "no deinterlacing" checked in the box, pulldown wasn't run. I just got the one .MPV file. Usually, I have the one .MPV file which says encoded...blah..blah..and another which is the same size approximately, and says "pulldown .MPV". Should I of changed the interlacing option in DVD2SVCD to "smartinterlacing" or "keep interlacing" before converting, or would that not of made a difference? If not, I will try pulldown.exe, but if that doesn't work, maybe I'll just do what BJM said and add chapters manually. Thanks again for the help! @ BJM, how can I add the chapters manually, I have never done that. I will try and play around with Maestro to do that, but would you just give me a link or tell me how I can add the chapters manually? Some Movies have 50 chapters or so like Attack of the Clones, so it will be a pain, but If that is what I have to do, then I will do that. Also, can I make my own chapter points? Let's say I wanted to make 9 chapters for example, one every 15 minutes, or so, can I do that? Thanks in advance

on the movie time line - just click above the movie .. add a chapter - slide it around , fine tune it frame by (I) frame , name it , etc etc ...
its all covered in your manual in great detail -
@ BJ_M, thanks for the info. I don't have any guide though. Do you know where I might be able to get "another" guide. I will do a search for one, but if you know, please give me the link. Thanks In the meantime I will mess around with some of the settings and try and get some type of chapters inserted.

Sorry to bring up this old thread but I have this exact same problem and still haven't found an answer on how to fix this other then making chapters manually in Maestro.
Does someone have an answer on this? Making chapters manually is kind of a pain in the butt really..
Thanks a lot.

well first off - chapters can only be on a I frame .. CCE and tmpgenc can create I frames at exact points ...
if the I frames are at your exact chapter points , and the timecode of the project starts at the timecode of your chapter list (sometimes it doesnt and you have to offset it yourself in maestro)
you just then import your chapter list ..
but inserting them your self is not really any trouble -- quick and easy to do in maestro .. if you have your timecode chapter list layout in hand .. -
I would sometimes get this error when demuxing the audio and video from a disk that will fit movie only.
Since I upgraded to the new decrypter its not happened yet. I think it had something to do with the timecode reset to 00:00:00:00 that he added.
