    my question is can a dvd-r\+r be played in a playstaion 2 and which dvd writer works.

    Yes, I have tried both in my version 7 ps2.

    I used a Pioneer A04 with the DVD-Rs and a Sony DRU500ax for the DVD+Rs and both worked fine.

    I use TDK and Fuji media though.
