I ripped a DVD-9 to 2 folders. I am about to demux a vob for disk 1 so I can add a "Please insert disk 2" message. I would like to then put it together and burn disk 1.
1) Does anyone see any problems with this?
2) Is there ANY quality loss when going from the vob files to the m2v/ac3 files (i.e. throught the demuxing process)
fyi... I am using Decrypter to rip, IFO Edit to split, DVD Maestro to compile, and nero to burn.
Any assistance/recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance.

I see no problem but have a question.
Why not add a VOB and rebuild your IFO files? -
I had probelms when I originally did that. Assume that I have vts_01_1.vob-vts_01_4.vob. Would I add the new vob as vts_01_5? I am a newbie, so please forgive me if the next question is stupid one. If I understand it correctly, the following would be my procedure:
1) Move vobs only to another folder (do I include the vts_01_0 vob?)
2) recreate ifo with ifo edit
3) move them back (with new ifos) to this "disk01" folder
4) open all ifos in ifoedit and "Get VTS Sectors"
Does that sound right?
