  1. I don't know much about DVD burning. I've made a few movies DVD9 to DVD5 etc... But I'm not sure if I can do 4x cuz Nero only lets me do 1-2x. I own a DVR-105/A05 (they are the same right? Its the Cendyne clone of the Pioneer.) I updated my firmware to that new one that does the faster ripping works great! but I still don't seem to be able to do 4x. Is it my media? If it is my media can you give me some suggestions on DVD-R 4x discs because in Best Buy I don't see any media that shows what speed it is a capable of. Sorry for the convulted post here I am really tired and looking for answers I am not an infidel.

  2. You have to buy media that is 4x. I have the same burner and it works well at 4x using Ritex 4x DVD-R.

  3. I've got the Pioneer A05 (Cendyne) and burn at 4x with Princo's 4x media (bought at http://www.allmediaoutlet.com). I know that a lot of people don't 'trust' Princo but I've never had any problems with them.

As an aside I ALWAYS make a img file of the VIDEO_TS folder with IMGTools then burn the image with DVD Decrypter.

  4. Yeah I hear a lot of people complain about media and stuff not working from DVD's to SVCD's. I've never had a problem with anything I've ever burned its always when I downloading an image file that is bad or something. Some of these gents run into or complain about is amazing. All you need to do is a little research. I do however know that Apex-5131 wont read the DVD-RW that came with the Cendyne drive so just keep that in the back of your mind. I am using generic Verbatims at 2x and have burned atleast 20 DVD's from Blockbuster and haven't had a problem. Even the DVD's the little kids get a hang of and destroy. Do you guys know of any retail store that carries 4x DVD-R's in the Chicagoland area?

Take them back if they don't work. Also be sure your drive is updated to work with the discs.
I'm not online anymore. Ask BALDRICK, LORDSMURF or SATSTORM for help. PM's are ignored.
