A little help here. Ripping DS9 episodes thru SmartRipper- to DVD2AVI - to TMPGENc- and burned with Nero, in MPG2 format. All looks good, but occasionaly I get jitters, mostly in fast action or starship sequences. Any advice to correct this would be helpful.

I'm not sure why you need to convert the mpeg files to AVI and then encode to mpeg again.
You might want to follow the guide in this thread.

It might look daunting at first, but rest assured it does the job. all you need is smartripper and/or dvddecrypter and ifoedit.
I use it all the time to "back up" the DS9 dvds and get a 100% copy.
It would be interesting to hear your thoughts. -
Rip the episodes as one large file. Convert the vob to mpg with TMPEG. You can open and encode the mpg directly in TMPEG,no need for DVD2AVI.
