  1. Been using all the above for a few weeks now, tried to use DVD95 and because the files were over 7GB it crashed as soon as i started the application. Weird i thought it had previously worked fine.
Tried a DVD less than 4.5GB the program ran, didn't do a great deal but it worked.
So tried DVD2one and then Pinnacle with the same results try to squash something down in size (the reason for the application) and it crashes, in Pinnacles case it gets to the main screen and shows you that you can't press ok as the size is permanently set at 7GB.

Tried full uninstall and reinstall one at a time same effect. Before i have to go to rebuild PC just wondered if anyone has any ideas???

  2. Did you use DVD Decrypter or Smartripper to save the files to your HD?
After saving the files to your HD then use DVD2One, DVD95Copy or Pinnacle Instant to shrink the files. I prefer DVD2One because it's very fast and the quality is very good.

  3. What harddrive format are you using? Fat or NTSC if its fat then you are gonna have problems for sure cause it doesn't support anything over 4GBs.

  5. When everything was working fine - i have used both DVD Decrypter 3.1.4.0 & Smartripper 2.41 & 2.28.

HDD is FAT32 to for DVD Decrypter and they shrink to a NTFS HDD.

Then for no reason all the shrinking apps won't shrink - they just crash!!

Any one got any ideas or experienced it before - HELP! Otherwise it looks like format, rebuild and pray....

  6. Fixed - but not sure why!
Used system restore to take my PC back a bit and then carried on uninstalling apps that had been installed since last fully used any DVD minimise app.

Reinstalled apps and it all worked sort off - now using Dvd decryptor and the bad blocks when they occur on some files, i then rip those files only using smartripper combine all and then shrink it all.

But now using my slower DVD drive to rip, which is a pain as before the faster drive worked all the time!!
