Hi, I've been able to rip rental dvd movies with smart ripper, but now I'm trying to rip a home made dvd that has 2 titles on it. 2 seperate 30 minute movies on it. When I try it with smart ripper, I can only rip the first segment. I'm sure I must have something wrong with the settings but I can't seem to figure it out. Can someone help me?

If it's home-made, most likely it's not encrypted. You only need to copy those VOB files. If you have to rip, choose those two PGCs (Program Chain) and rip them separately.

Hi- Are you just out to make another copy of that "Homemade" DVD?
You can just use DVDDecrypter to Read (copy)the ISO files to your hard drive, then just Write (copy) the files back to a blank DVD for a perfect, exact copy of your original (If a copy is what you were looking to make).
I do this all the time to make coppies of my backups (that I originally spent hours encoding/compiling). If you needed all the VOB files to tinker with, then forget what I just said -
well, what I'm actually trying to do is make a VCD. My original is a DVD, but I want to make a VCD of it. When I rip it using smartripper, It only grabs the vob files from the first title on the disc. What do I need to do in the settings in order for it to rip the vob files from both titles?

Humm... That's odd. To be real honest, I haven't used Smart Ripper that often. I've always preffered DVDDecrypter, though I can't really explain why. You might want to give it a try. Both are great programs, especially considering that their free! GOOD LUCK!!

Like someone said, that jomemade DVD is probably not encrypted so you could try using DVD2AVI and convert the video directly from the DVD into plain AVI files (or use DVD2AVI to frameserve and use TMPGEnc to eoncode directly from DVD to MPG for VCD).
