  1. I am learning about multimedia. I want my source to be the best with the highest resolution. I just watched my first DVD and it blew away my satellite. Is cable any better then satellite or do I need to use rented DVDs as a source?

    Thanks

What kind of a man are you? The guy is unconscious in a coma and you don't have the guts to kiss his girlfriend?

DSS (digital satellite tv) is either 704x480, 544x480, or 480x480 depending on your provider. DVD can be up to 720x480, but most homemade discs should probably be 352x480. HDTV is much higher, and has variant resolutions.

Your tv cannot really see past 352x480 anyway. Only HDTV can go past that, and its not mainstream yet, nor is it standardized.
I'm not online anymore. Ask BALDRICK, LORDSMURF or SATSTORM for help. PM's are ignored.

  6. I watch using my 24" Sony monitor so the monitor presents no limitation. It looks like until HDTV is available widely then DVDs are the way to go. They can be rented or bought used fairly cheap.
