Hi, ive converted to mpeg2 352x576 with TMPGEnc but there is still abit of a fuzzy line at the bottom of the video.
Can i clip abit off the bottom keeping it 352x576 and all the same settings without having to re-encode it all(6hrs of re-encoding just to clip a line off the bottom ) .
Is this possible(like cutting and direct stream copying).
    thanks

  3. You can do it with avisynth, but I'm not sure you can do it withou recording. I'm just learning avisynth so I can't be any real help, but try their website it has all the info on scripting and all with avisynth. http://www.avisynth.org

you can do it directly in TMPGenc, under the advanced options there's cropping options, where you can just specify x number of pixels cropped from top, bottom, left or right, and the final output will be resized.

(i.e. you capture at 720x480, and realize that the noise from the capture is 3 pixels high on the bottom, you can cut the 3 pixels and your file will be resized so it's still 480 high, not 478)

but doing it without reencoding? if you find a way, let me know, 'cause I don't know one!

Its just that because if u cut out commercials it will output the video without re-encoding, so i thought cutting a line off the bottom would be similar. I told it to clip the first time i did it but it didnt turn out right(the first 30mins was clipped the other 7hrs still had ugly line at bottom).
But if there's no way i'll just have to re-encode .
And i dont know how to use that avisynth and scripts and stuff. Im stil learning how to use TMPGEnc .
    thanks for replies
