i have an avi file that the sound is quicker than the video, and is totally unwatchable. can somoene help me on how to fix this, i have soundforge if that helps to fix my problem. thanks to any replies.

Is it out by the same amount throughout the video, or does it get progressively worse?
If out by the same amount:
I use Goldwave which has a function to insert silence or to trim a bit off of the beginning as required.
If out gradually:
Goldwave has a Time Warp function to shrink or stretch the audio as required.
