I have just bought the SONY IP55E. The camera is great but the software it came with [ Movieshaker & Pixelimage] is crap. It will not capture on my Dell Inspiron 8000 with XP.
Which is the better Editing software out there for MICROMV. I would like to run it eventually to SVCD and maybe later to DVD when I buy a recorder.

I bought the same camera, used it for two weeks and with the carappy software you mentioned and the lousy video quality, I returned it and bought a TRV50 and it has been PERFECT!!
Video quality is superb, better software, more compatible with my system too
thats my 2 cents -
"" Pinnacle 8 accepts MMV format , I haven't seen anything else out there accepts MMV, but you have to do a lot of experiments first with Pinnacle 8 before you make the perfect project cause you're not getting any help from Pinnacle tech support. If you have a lot of patience and have a fast PC or love challenges and try to solve a problem by yourself ( that's me) Piinacle 8 is ok. Goodluck!""Originally Posted by willmeg
