  2. That pretty funny. I am actually planning my motion menus right now.

From what I understand the animated menus are not created in Maestro or any authoring program. I have read in posts and websites, that you have to use something like Adobe After Effects. You can import video files and shrink them to fit on one page. I am working on this now. I can put together a tutorial when I am done. Too much to explain right now.

create a animated clip or any lenth, drop it onto a menu - done - now you have a animated menu ..

or create 1 or more still images , drag onto 1 or more menus and set timer and link menus ..
maestro will encode the still image to a mpeg file (notice the new dir maestro creates for menu files it encodes)

i will give you a short primer on the buttons though - create a button , right click on button , select where it points to (another menu or a chapter)

import movie - drag the m2v clip into the asset window or directly onto the timeline

create a menu -- the menus themselves (the graphics part of it) is not created in maestro - but in photoshop or paintshop pro or dvd menu studio (or and paint type program) - you can create layers or not - your choice. you drag this image into the menu in maestro and then create button or buttons and set up all your settings for menus ..

  11. Great one here http://www.geocities.com/eaussie01au/photoshop.html
    Also http://www.geocities.com/eaussie01au/maestro.html
    And simple one here http://www.fukrulez.com/index2.php

The manual is a bit confusing because it calls submask by subpicture, and refers to your submask as Button Highlights etc... so it can be a bit confusing, plus it's 688 pages, although a bit overwhelming I did read it all, and it was imensly helpfull.
