    Of what type of file? There's lots of guides in the Edit section, take your pick.

    TMPGenc cannot "edit", but can cut join just fine. Adobe Premiere is the god of video editing, and take MPEG1/2 files if setup properly.

    Avid Composer Symphony (or maybe symphony composer?) is real good. Prices start at about $50,000 USD. There are some others that are as good or better too.

    Since that is not what you are looking for, try Vegas Video or EditStudio3. DVD Movie Factory has some basic editing too.
    Hope is the trap the world sets for you every night when you go to sleep and the only reason you have to get up in the morning is the hope that this day, things will get better... But they never do, do they?
