I got a demuxed srt (from ogm) that i want to remove all the [foot steps] (hearing impaired text) lines, and keep the rest.
I wonder if there's some function for that in subtitle workshop?
OR any text editor that could delete lines containing [.
It's to much to do by hand so it would be nice.

Notepad, Wordpad, almost any word processor. You can also run a Spell Check and Grammar check while you're at it.
Sounds like it was converted from Closed Captions, I do a lot of these. Beware of the synch problem with FF, it's not really there. -
Got it from an ogm file. (using ogmcleaver)
In wordpad there IS a replace all function, but it only deletes specific ... no whole line deletion. when [ is found.
EDIT:
I found the program subtitlecreator which does the trick without distorting the timecodes. -
You can do this in subtitle workshop under tools-> information and errors. Then use fix errors. It will automatically delete all hearing for the impaired stuff. If you have office installed you can then spell check it by pressing f7. I use subtitle workshop 2.51.
Good luck. -
Hmm version 4 beta 3 didnt have it .. i installed 2.51 it was better then subtitlecreator (which wasen't as smart).
Thx
