I burned A movie onto a vcd, and it was meant to be widescreen but plays in fullscreen.
(I don't know what I did wrong)
I was just wondering if it would be easier to rip the vcd and make it again, or rip it from the dvd again.
(I don't want to change anything about it, just make it play in widescreen)
It is the widescreen video too.
thanks![]()

What programs are you using? When I was doing VCD's, I was using EasyVCD and VCD easy, and there was an option where you could decide whether you wanted to do full screen or wide screen resolution. It would help to know what programs you're using. Oh, and in the future, try to make your post subject a little more descriptive. You'll probably get more replies.

yeah, sorry about that, I guess I was feeling lazy then.
I used VCDeasy, and I thought I did everything right, but I guess I didn't.
Anyway, can I rip the vcd and make it again?
and if I rip it from the vcd do I have to encode the video again?
thanks -
If you ripped the DVD then converted and got fullscreen instead of widescreen, then you've obviously thrown away the data that was the ends of the widescreen movie. Now how can you hope to rip the fullscreen VCD and add the 4 inches or so back onto the fullscreen to make it widescreen? Rip the DVD and start over. Look at the settings. Play with it till you've learned more and you'll find what you did wrong. It's all a learning experience anyway, right?
