i have a big problem. i have been able to convert xvid movies to mpeg in the past but they are not converting when i try them now. i have tried switching my environmental settings, i've tried about 5 different xvid codecs and it doesnt work. i always get some kind of error message with Tmpgenc, (i've probably recieved every one!!) sometimes i get an error that says my video is unsupported. i have nimo 5.0 build 8 codec pack installed and a xvid codec. i thought maybe i needed another version of tmpgenc but i've switched that about 3 times. what do i need to do?! please help me.

its your VFAPI setts, there are these special setts for XVID's.
Directreader +3
Avi2 File reader +1
all the others 0
except for:
Bmp/PPM/TGA/JPG file reader: -3
TMPG project file reader: -3
try converting the XVID again
btw, isn't the audio AC3 audio? that could cause the problem too.Wanne earn something a couple of dollars?

If things don't work make sure that tmpeg can encode other avi video streams as well, sometimes it just likes to mess itself up... If it is then i would try to frameserve it from Virtual Dub
good luckYou win some, and you lose some, and some get rained out...
