zzyzzx, leave the french alone! america certainly owes france a favour. if it was'nt for them there would'nt be a united states of america!
how can a person such as yourself be so ignorant of your own history.
it's very sad, but not as sad as those americans spilling french wine onto the streets. if that's how they feel maybe they should send the statue of liberty back to france. it's french after all is'nt it? you must feel disgusted just looking at it!

Haven't the French been boycotting McDonald's for years before there was any boycott of French goods. How about the French not allowing British beef imports even after the EU passed them as safe? Let's not go on to the French farmers burning the lorries filled with English lamb (with the lambs still in them!), shall we.

The question is: Is this person violating (A) the No Topic Hijacking rule or (B) the No Politics rule on these forums or (C) the No Flame Bait rule (as this website is viewed by people from different countries of this world with different political views)?

Whoa. I don't think so. The USA doesn't owe the arrogant French diddly squat. So they gave us a statue. Big deal. We give them money all the time in "loans" that never get paid back. We bought half our country's land from them in the 1800s in the Louisiana Purchase because they wanted out: the Indians were kicking their butts, along with the Brits. They gave up there voice over here long ago. They're all talk, and now Chirac is doing little more than kissing up to Bush. Don't agree? Read an unbiased newspaper and learn for yourself.
