  1. I'm use to running Tv-out on my desktop PC, but I recently decided to buy a laptop to watch films on the TV downstairs... Its an Advent laptop, 2 months old, Win XP etc and I can't get the Tv-out to work. Under device manager it says that the video card is a Sis 650. I'm using S-video from the laptop to the Tv s-video. There is a function on the keyboard that says it will activate the tv-out by holding 'Fn' and presing F4 - but that dont work... What settings should I use? Is there any software (like TVtool) for this chip? What info do you need to know?

    Thank you !!

  2. You should be able to turn in on, under the display settings. It will be under advanced, just look at all the settings. I know with ATI mobility you can use duel display or tv out. The difference being duel display extends the desktop, like having 2 monitors, tv out gives mirror image of whats on the monitor. ATI also has theater mode in conjunction with all that.

    Good Luck

  4. Didn't work. I have swapped the s video option, now ig goes:

    Laptop>Svideo>Composite>scart>TV

The screen now has some sort of signal - black bouncing up and down. I take it the resolution should be at 640x*** but thats not helping, I set the default monitor as the TV, but same signal...

    Bloody computers!
