    Is it possible to make one "small" avi file that we can use to produce example of mpeg2 (DVD quality) from different encoders. Then everybody can download them and compare them and decide which one is best ?

    Baldrick, this is mainly question for you. Somethingt like this http://www.tecoltd.com/enctest/enctest.htm but with ability to post our results.

    I know that there is some "old" comparasion here... but it is too old...

    well....I don't have any webspace or bandwidth for any files....if someone else can help with that maybe we could make a new comparison with ability to post comments. Maybe a special forum section with a comparison chart and a topic for all encoders so you can discuss them.
