  1. I can burn a DVD using an MPEG2 file with Nero or EasyCD burning software or ISO files using DVD-Decrypt. But how do you burn a DVD-r movie using IFO and VOB file generated from DVD-decrypt or DVD-Shrink? Is there any freeware to do this?

    Thanks so much...

  3. You just use nero and burn a "data disc".

  4. Thanks for the info... however I am still kinda lost. I try using Nero as a data writer, but Nero wants me to use a cd-r instead of a dvd-r media. Do I put all the files (ifo, bup, vob) into the writing layout? Any order?

    Thanks...

  5. Put all the files in the order that DVDshrink made them into a VIDEO_TS folder that you create on your hard drive and then you burn that folder as a data disc. I'm not familar with nero so I will let someone who is answer any nero questions.

  6. Nero has a wizard for DVD movies. It creates the VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders for you. Then all you have to do is drag the files created by DVDShrink into the VIDEO_TS folder and burn. Note: sometimes Nero gives you a "Possible read error...." message when you try to burn a DVD movie. I don't know why it does this but when it does I click "Yes" to continue and it's always burned fine.

  7. If you already have and use Nero just keep doing so. But personally I don't like/trust it (although the newest verison seems ok). I normally burn with DVD Decrypter (see the guide to the left).

Basically you author your DVD (generate the IFO/VOB files).

Rename folder to "VIDEO_TS" (all caps)

Then use IMG Tools (http:/www.doom9.org) to generate an ISO image file of the VIDE_TS folder

Then burn the image file with DVD Decrypter

This has never produced a coaster for me, and all the tools are freeware. But if you have nero already and it's working for you it's easier (ie. less steps) just to use that.
