    ive been using the wrong type of stand alone dvd player...can anyone recomend anything, which supports everything you can throw at it to play including xvcds..holla back

  2. what country are you in, if its uk, the argos (did not sure now) and tescoes sell a dvd player that playes everything for about £69 i got mine from argos and have not had a prob, its an alba 114, they displayed 108 but gave me 114, might do the same for you coz its says (models will vary),

    best thing to do is to look on the compatible list or look around shops that dvd players show "mpe/cdr/" etc

    Region 1 out of the box, plays the lot and even comes with a few cack dvds chucked in.

  4. in the US, there are cheap Apex dvd players. they play almost everything (including xvcds)

    Don't get the Apex AD-800 though. I got it and it plays xvcd's but sometimes it will skip and stop (bitrate too low) and other times it will get out of sync. Also, it really doesn't like SVCD's if the bitrate gets near or below 1150kbps which sucks if your making VBR encodes.
