  1. Hi all,
I have downlaoded a few movies in xvid format. I converted them and then split them into two files ready to go on to a vcd. My question is what avi to mpeg converters do you use? (free would be better) Because i have tryed a few and no of them so far have been able to convert the avi file to an mpeg. Always cums back with errors when i use TMPGEnc. Any suggestions?

    Thanks, Mark

Mark. You're confusing me. If you have TMPGEnc why don't you use it for mpg encoding?

  7. download dvd2svcd ... I use to do the maunal thing with tmpgenc but the math for resizing was doing my head in. dvd2svcd has an option to use an avi file for input. So long as you have the right codec's installed it will happily go off and do the whole thing automatically. it looks a bit daunting at first but it works pretty damn well.
