Gentlemen -
haven't been able to find an exact answer, so I'm posting the question.
Can mpeg files, captured with NeoDVD Standard, be used in other dvd authoring programs without re-encoding the files?
I captured as DVD-mpeg, high quality. They did not need to be re-encoded when I authored a test disc with NeoDVD*, but I am not crazy about the interface and workflow in NeoDVD's authoring sections.
(*I'm assuming they didn't, because the compiling of a 70-minute dvd took about 5 minutes after I pressed "make disc")
I'd much rather try DVD Workshop or DVDLab, but I like capturing directly to mpeg for some stuff because I'm converting VHS, not authoring a new title from scratch. (more involved projects will probably be captured as .avi files and converted after the fact.)
Any info appreciated.

Yup, as long as the proggie accepts mpeg2's as input file type, and most do.
