Hi,
All you have to do is "Export Timeline to MPEG Encoder" in the File Menu.

how is the quality/speed of Premier's mpeg encoder compared to TMPGEnc?
-
there is a must have update for the encoder (which is the Main Concept encoder) on the adobe web site ..
it is much faster than tmpgenc - quality about the same .. depends on settings and content. it is very good encoder though . same one in vegas 4.0b -
BJ_M You say there is a must have update for the encoder (which is the Main Concept encoder) on the adobe web site, but when I tried looking for it Icould not find it. Is it possible for yo to post a link for it please

I check the Adobe site for updates religiously...and this is the first I had heard of a Main Concept update, too. I couldn't find the above page at adobe.com -- I found a link at mainconcept.com instead.
There's a 1.2 and a 1.3(beta) up right now...I'm about to download v1.2 before I go to work...
Thanks for the heads up, BJ_M! -

Thanks for the link. I have just downloaded 1.3 beta but it appears to have a problem. Will go back and download 1.2
