I'm using a Win-TV with S-Video input, off a digital cable box source. Most things tend to fill the whole capture area when doing 640x480. However, one thing I'm capturing only has about 448 lines, and then the rest are black.
Since this show is from the early 1980's, I'm inclined to think perhaps that's all that is available. The commericals between the show are mostly full frame. I'm cropping out the black for now (End up with a 635x448), and then restretching it to 640x480. Otherwise it's a bit squished.
Just curious if anyone else has encountered source off of TV like this.
