    Can you do this? If so, then how? I downloaded a show and tried using Nero to burn it onto a VCD, but it wouldn't work. It says that it is an unsupported file format. The format is .wmv. Is there anyway of converting this to a different format, so I'd be able to burn it?

    Please read the guides on this site for converting to vcd compatible files like the one found here, https://www.videohelp.com/tmpgenc.htm

    Basically, you need to read up on how to convert wmv to mpeg1 with TmpegEnc. Everything you need is on this site, nobody is going to spoon feed this to you.
