  1. I've used DVD2AVI with TMPGEnc in the past without any problems. DVD2AVI produced the D2V file and the MPA file.

I hadn't used it in a while and now I get the D2V file with an AC3. TMPGEnc doesn't recognize AC3's.

Can I adjust DVD2AVI to give me MPA's? Is there an AC3 plug in for TMPGEnc?

    Thanks for any help.

  2. As long as you are not changing frame rates, just encode the video as an elementary stream (ES) and when done, re-mux the .m2v with the .ac3 in "Mpeg Tools".

If you are changing frame rates, do the same as above, but before the re-mux use BeSweet to change the frame rate of the .ac3

If you are using "Source range" then you will have to use BeSweet to convert the .ac3 into either .mp2 or .wav and use that as the audio source in TMPGEnc.

  3. Thank you Crappo! It works!

I'm converting a PAL DVD to NTSC. I used your method to make a PAL MPEG2. Now I'm encoding an NTSC MPEG2 using the original D2V as video source and the PAL MPEG as audio source.

I can finally get this thing done! Thank you.
