  1. I have only used DVD2one so far. I am wondering what is the best app to copy DVD9 to DVD5. That is quality wise, ignoring the fact DVD2one is probably is the easiest app to use.

    Thanks.

  2. Instant Copy: Slow as hell but good quality.
DVD95 Copy: Faster than Instant Copy with good quality IMO.
DVDX Copy: Expensive and takes two disc to backup DVD9 originals but maintains the original quality.
DVD2one: Fastest of them all however some say the quality is not as good

Lately I have been using DVD95 Copy over the other programs.

  3. Thanks for that Bob.

Have you noticed the difference between DVD95COPY and DVD2one/Instant Copy or any other app?

    Thanks.

My eyes are not that good and I'm no expert so all I can offer is that perhaps I can see a slightl difference in quality (not as good) with DVD2one over the other programs but it's really hard to tell the difference on a 48 inch big screen TV as they all look more than good enough IMO.

  5. Thanks for your comments.

I would love to hear from others. Where are "The Others"?

  6. You will notice a difference on a big screen tv using DVDXCOPY and the rest of them if you watch a 2hour+ long movie WHY? because out of all of these programs DVDXCOPY is the only one that does NOT compress anything, true you do have to use 2 disc's on aroung 60% of the movies but you dont lose any quality. And you do keep the extra's and special features too, On smaller (under 1hr and half)moveis you might not notice much though.

  7. You are right mysterio1. What I am sure some app compress better than the others.

One thing I need to make clearer is that DVD9 to DVD5 is the objective. I know If you don't want to loose quality you could use DVD X Copy.

    Thanks.

try reading this, it may help as it has 2 comparisions for you to download further down the thread

dvd2one vs InstantCopy vs dvd95copy vs CCE Quality

and the size of your TV ain't an issue, it's how good a quality picture it can produce from your system setup

agreed the definition is not as good but for the sake of not having to get up to switch and the extra cost of a blank, it's not worth the hassle of using 2 discs

on my main 120" setup the drop in quality is more than acceptable even at 70% using IC, I say this as my setup upstairs shows a more artifacts than my main setup due to the inferior components used in the upstairs setup

...before you judge look at the overall cost, the amount of user input required and the quality of results...
