The T SD-210E can it, can't it, be hacked?
Not by handset, but with an upgrade (the chip).
Ok, my problem is that alot of people are looking for the same infromation as me, but all of it is scattered across the web and on no one page can I find all the infromation I need.
I have hacked my Lg 4710 its ok to Play all Regions and VCD's.
My brother has the Toshiba and I like to help someone as from time to time we all need alittle help from are friends.
So to the person out there that is smarter than most, that could settle the score once and for all I ask of this:
1. Can the T SD-210E be hacked by the handset?
If yes, can you please tell us all how to do it?
2. Does it need to be chipped?
If yes, can you tell us all how to or where to look for the infromation
that explains and shows this task of chipping the Player?
No one ever got anywhere without the help of an other.
So once and for all is there anybody out there that can answer these questions and help us that do not know. I think alot of people would be thankful. So can someone please help?

Check the hack for the toshiba SD220. I think it also works for the SD210
https://www.videohelp.com/dvdhacks.php?select=Toshiba%20SD220E
But don't take my word for it, check the readme -
Thanks for the reply.
This does throw up some specs about the machine, but I don't know if I can change them or even if I could would it do any good.
I've be looking all over the place now and it all leads back to the machine being chipped. It costs the price of a middle of the row DVD Player.
Anyway keep watch on this.
I have found the address of a site that shows how this task is done. I've had no real time to get a good look at it, and I do not have the name of the site with me at the moment. I'll get it on the site within' the next few days. It real does seem worth a look.
Again thank you for your reply.

I shall return again. -
I think there is the site with the firmware update http://sd220e.chez.tiscali.fr/. It is for the 220, but I believe the 220 is a newer version of the 210 so it should work

Thanks for the link, but I've seen this link before. The problem with it for me is that I cannot open the file. This is because of firewalls that pervent me from doing so. The computer I work on will not go on to the web to look for the file to open it with. I don't know what file to use.
Anyway heres the link I've been talking about.

It looks very, very good compared to all the sites that I have passed in my travels
I don't think anyone will be getting a T SD 210E chiped in a hurry. It seems too much money and trouble to be doing it yourself unless you have the correct equipment, which also seems to cost quite a bit.
All the same if I had all the gear I wouldn't be long in putting the chip in for myself.
All in all, if anyone has not seem this site before they should check it out, if only for the knowlege. I found that it put an end to my search, all that I needed to know was there.
To anyone else that reads this message, don't be put of by the T SD210 E. It really is quite a good player. If one crosses your path at the right price take it. Other wise, Toshiba's seem to be not so bad in the field of DVD Players and a later model that is easier hack by remote would do the same job.
Well Thats It
For now.
PS
If anyone finds anything interresting about the T SD210 please a message.
