  1. I copied a DVD on DVD+RW using DVD2one selecting DTS 6ch as my sound option. Everything went OK. Played fine on the computer with sound. However there was no sound with my topdeck DVD player. Picture was fine. I tried other discs with the same DVD player there was no problem with the sound.

    Can't DVD2one copy DTS 6ch sound?

Then i tried AC3 6ch sound. It worked fine.

    Please help.

  2. My guess is your player doesn't support DTS.

  3. This does not appear to be the case. DTS is written all over the DVD player. I tried original DVD with DTS sound it did not work.

Copying two types of sound, does that effect picture quality?

    Thanks.

Well in the case of programs like DVD2one the answer is yes in that the video would have to be compressed or encoded at a lower bitrate. I doubt you would notice the difference so try it.

Also as for DTS my player requires that I enable it otherwise it's off so check that out.

A lot of DVD players that 'support' DTS do not decode it internally but will only output it raw through the digital audio out to an external decoder/amp. AFAIK, All DVD players (In NTSC regions at least) MUST support Ac3 and be able to downsample 5.1 to 2 chan stereo.
