converting .avi to Mpeg etc.

Hi all,

let me know how to convert .avi movie to MPEG to play movies in APEX AD 1500.

and which burning Tool (software) is good, for converting all types formats ?


i purchased APEX AD 1500 and Panasonic 32.

and i planning returning Panasonic DVD player.

let me know which DVD player is good to play all formats(VCD,mp3,RW etc.)

This question really belongs in the "Newbie Conversion" forum...however I'll go ahead and answer it... Go to http://www.tmpgenc.net and download TMPGEnc. It is an MPEG encoder that is free for MPEG-1, and fairly inexpensive as MPEG encoders go for MPEG-2. Then use VCDEasy to Author & Burn.
