  2. are you using SVCD .mpgs? If so, you need to do some tweaking, see the other posts in here on SVCD burning in toast. If you just have a .mpg and are burning a vcd, you should be able to use Toast flawlessly. If not, download a program called Missing Media Burner from www.versiontracker.com, once you figure out how to use that it will solve all your problems, just choose "generic-mmc-raw" for you drivers and if you have a superdrive choose "DVD/DVD-RW" obviously instead of CD/CD-RW, good luck, from there you just choose the .cue and make sure the .bin is available....there are a million other posts on Toast and VCD's/SVCD's, so search this forum, you'll find some stuff

There is a better solution to MMB.

Download MissingMPEGTools, from the same author of MissingMEDIABurner.

    http://homepage.mac.com/rnc

What you want to do is place all your mpeg files in the same folder.

Click on the VCDXGEN tab of MMT, and check the MULTI box.

    Select VCD 2.0

Click on the select Button and select the folder containing your MPEG files. then select the same folder for output, and click on GENERATE.

Terminal pops up, and performs a simple actions of placing a .xml file in that folder you selected.

Then click on VCDXBUILD and select CUE & BIN files. Click on SELECT, and choose the .xml file you got on the last step. Choose the same folder for output. and click on BUILD.

This will generate a .bin image for you.

Open toast and DRAG the bin image onto it under VCD mode. Toast is forced to accept .bin images and doesnt look for or acknowledge non-standard MPEG files.

This will work in MOST dvd players, but some DVD players can become rather pissy when playing non-standard VCDs.

This is assuming that you are doing VCD only and NOT SVCD. If yo uare using SVCD, be sure to select SVCD in the first step and select CDRDAO image on the second.

    hope this helps.

  5. k buddy. Your FIRST problem is the .mpg's you have from the net, your jap anime, pr0n, SNL clips, whatever, is fucked up sizes. Toast will only accept like....umm.....i think 320*240 for .mpg 1 and 720*480 or something for mpeg 2......it's really weird like that I forget its on the forums in some other post. HOWEVER, I would say your best bet is this, convert your .mpgs all to a standard 320*240, if that is the resolution, and then use vcd tools x to put them on a vcd image, or drag/drop em into toast. And I'd just like to say, toast kick's nero's ass in every way shape and form. I've had more problems with nero than I can count and hate the damn thing. ANyways, peace man, sorry i can't be of more help but scour the forums for what reso toast needs, i think it's 320*240 or 640*480
