Hi, i'm kinda new to this svcd stuff, but anyway i'll cut to the chase. I used DVD2SVCD to create a SVCD by basically leaving all the settings as the default. The movie was 'kiss of the dragon' which goes for about 90mins. This took about 10 hours to create. DVD2SVCD made it into 2 cds, and i burnt them by mounting the image using Daemon tools, and using clone cd to make a disc copy. I burnt them both at 1x, as i didn't know if a faster speed might corrupt them or what ever. They both have excellent video and sound, and work perfectly when i play them in Power DVD. The problem is when i take them to my DVD player. The first CD has the sound out of sync by about half a sec, however the second CD is perfect, with no sound lag. I really don't understand, because i have used the same techniques to create both CDs. If somebody could please help, as like i said i'm kinda new to all this stuff
Thanks,
Trish :P

According to what version of CloneCD you are using you should try burning with the "Burn sub-tracks" turned off for your burner. I've seen similar issues with 2 different burners when this feature was enabled.
I'm not to happy with the mounting method either. I gave up trying to use that method last year. Your best bet would be to use a different burning tool.
<--- Check the "Tools" link over here.
I have used DVD2SVCD for almost a year now and have never had an audio sync problem with SVCD's (VCD's are another story). I started burning with Nero around last November and have never ahd a problem since.Only 3 things are certain in life... Death, Taxes, and SPAM. Of these, only Death seems affordable!

Thanks for the reply :P
I tried using nero, but it had the same result. I know it is probablty basic to you, but how do you turn the 'burn sub tracks' off in clone cd, i am really stupid with computers sometimes. All i can find in clone cd is 'read subchannel data' and it was turned off already. I am copying the SVCD in clone cd as a data cd, is this correct??? I also had a look in the tools section over here to the left, but i'm not sure what to use. thanks

In your version the "sub-channel data" was the switch to turn off. Your problem may well be related to the daemon tool you are using to mount the image. It is still better to go directly from the bin/cue images to the CD trhough a burning program.
If you don;t like Nero, there is a freeware one in the tools section.Only 3 things are certain in life... Death, Taxes, and SPAM. Of these, only Death seems affordable!
