Update: Thanks for the private message. This is a known bug in the Pioneer DV-355![]()
Hi,
I have borrowed a DV to record some footage. As the camera must soon go back I am on a tight timeframe. I have recovered the DV onto my PC fine, and I can create VCD no problems.
I wish to convert the DV to SVCD for better archival quality. I convert the SV to SVCD MPEG2 format using Premier-Trial & bbmpeg or TMPGEMC. PowerDVD on my PC reads the file fine, in the correct aspect ratio for me (PAL, etc).
My problems start when I use Nero to create a SVCD. On the Pioneer DV-355 the image is always squashed (like 16:9) no matter what ratio I save the MPEG2 file in.
Any ideas?
