Why encoding start at 2mn after the begining of the movie???

Hi every guys,

I'm a french new user girl in Paris and i tried to convert a DVD to VCD PAl with DVDx 1.4.
I ripped the DVD and i started the encoding.....but it began after 2 mn, not from the begining of the movie, WHY??????

My english is not very well (sorry), i hope someone could help me, plz

you could try a different method of ripping/encoding. try the guides on this site, I recommend using tmpgenc for vcds.

She said she's using DVDx, an all-in-one tool.

I also would suggest using a Smartripper, DVD2AVI, TMPGEnc combination. Works great for me.

my bust. i missed that, to busy watching the tv. i havn't tried the dvdx but i do use dvd2avi and tmpge. they do work good. smartripper i've only tried once so i can't comment on it. instead i use claddvd2.0 it works good for ripping also.....

I have a new problem , i can't rip "TWISTER" with smartripper 2.35, why????????????????
And i try to encoding it directly with DVDx 1.4, and doesn't work??????????

Try playing the movie on powerdvd or something else for 5 seconds. then clean the disc with a cd cleaning kit.

I use DVD2AVI and i don't know how to select french langage with it, there is just Track 1, 2,.... bur how select the french langage?????????

Ok, i'd tried but how to select the french language, ihave just few track....and the video was in 16:9, how to change it too??????
