    It's installed, but it just won't start. NO ERROR MESSAGES. I tried downloading the demo, but that won't start either. tried installing and reinstalling. Tried a few of the suggestions in Sony's "answers" section. STILL WON"T START. I'm hoping the problem has to do with not having enough memory because I ordered some ram. I feel like I've been ripped off.

    Memory will be a problem for you (you probably need at least 1 GB to work freely), but it should not stop the program running. For the past few versions Vegas has required Microsoft's .net architecture installed. It shouldn't install without this, but perhaps your installation has a problem. Try re-installing .net and see what happens.

    You should also check your event logs to see if there are any messages of note in there.

    Your computer is wayyyyy underpowered. Expect renders in Vegas to take longer than retreating glaciers.
