Captured a 10' video off my VCR into my PC, uncompressed. Did editing thru Virtual Dub which reports the following file stats:
<video>
320x240 FRAME SIZE, 29.97 FPS
14,778 FRAMES, 8'13" TIME, 3.4Gb
UNCOMPRESSED RGB24
<audio>
44,100Hz SAMPLING RATE
2 CHANNEL STEREO
16 BIT SAMPLE PRECISION
PCM UNCOMPRESSED
Using TMPGEnc to convert to MPG reports the file stats:
<video>
57,723 frames
32'7" play length
352x240 resolution (same thing @ 320*240)
29.97 fps
Problems-->
1) The final output is about 4 times the input with the final
¾ of the mpg being a black screen.
2) About ¼ of the way into the output, the audio suddenly drops
out.
The original 'avi file plays excellently in V.Dub. Something else is happening during the encoding to 'mpg. Have been thru all the menus but nothing seems relevant.
Suggestions?
