Can you play the file on your PC? What does Virtualdub say under File Information? Did you scan and remove bad frames? There are guides on this site for that.

You don't have the necessary codec installed on your system. Get Gspot form the Tools section and use it to test your file. It will tell you the required audio and video codecs, get them and install. You can get codecs from the Tools section or google search. 8)

A copy and paste of one of my previous post replies.

    4CC Changer.

I use this baby all the time to change my temperamental XvidS' to divx, I've not had one bomb out on me.

Make a copy of your film (maybe onto the desktop).
Open 4 CC and browse to your copied film.
The description code should say 'xvid'....type 'divx' into the 'used codec' box and hit apply............a nano second later your copied film can be used as you like. If all is well don't forget to delete the original.

    Here's the link.

I agree with ABAB....if I get an Xvid movie I always use the Four CC changer and I don't get problems with Xvids anymore.

...or try ffdshow. It allowed me to play XviDs without all problems like pixelated green images and stuff. Never had to "cheat" by changing "xvid" to "divx" since...

Sounds like you have an XviD, not a DivX. Also sounds like you are using the year old codec from Nimo. It's a codec issue, get the latest XviD codec release.
