  1. Hello Everybody,

    here is my problem :

I'm trying to copy a movie from dvd to dvd-r.

I have ripped the movie with smartripper and i have now 2 files. One m2v for the vidéo and one ac3 for the audio.

With spruceup, i made menu with links and all the stuffs is correct when i simulate them.

Now arrive the problem, spruceup refuse tu burn on my pioneer a03 so i have to save my project on my hard drive.

I have now 2 directories ( audio_ts and video_ts ) with all the vob created by spruceup.

I have tried to burn them on a dvd-r with Nero but the movie start only in my Daewoo 5800-k stand alone player.
I tried in a Philips, in a Sony and in a Cyberhome, even in my Ps2. None of them start the movie. only my daewoo works fine.

I have also tried to made a 1:1 copy of a non-encrypted dvd movie with Nero and this one works in every stand alone player.

So i suppose that my problem come from the burning way i use.

i simply drag and drop my two directories into my nero windows and burn. Is that wrong ? Is there another way to burn the dvd-r to be play in every satnd alone player ?

Some people talk about authoring dvd. is it the reason why my dvd don't start?

I hope anyone could help me because i'm totally lost now.

    Thanks you.

I'm not really into copying DVD's, but I believe you have to use Decss to remove the anti-copy encryption.

Read up on it elsewhere in this site.

  3. Use Prassi PrimoDVD or VOB Instant CD/DVD instead. PrimoDVD works great for me (AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS directories previously compiled with DVDMaestro).
