  1. i have pinnacle instant copy v7 and i have found 2 flaws. maybe there not flaws....maybe there my mistakes during the encoding process. but here is the first one. when i slide the bar all the way to 4.31GB .....and after about 2hrs of encoding i get the finished product in pdi(or something like that) format. the finished image is only 3.91GB. i dont know how this happens cause all of the finished encoded images are 3.91GB and not the full 4.31GB that i chose when i slide the bar to that amount of space. and that kinda bothered me but i burned the image anyway using the same program. once that was done i put in my dvd drive and it said disc error after the warning message. and if i press play again it goes straight to the movie. if i hit menu it goes to the menu but when i press on a special feature..it gives me a disc error message. has anyone had or have this problem. if there's a way to fix it .....let me know

  2. I don't use Instant Copy much because it's so slow but I always just leave the slider on "Auto" and the file size is always 4.36GB. Lately I have been using DVD95 Copy which is much faster http://www.dvd95copy.com/purchase.htm

  5. i read somewhere in the forums that pinnacle has an option in the software that makes the ok button enabled even if the size goes over the 4.31GB limit. i wonder where it is...could u guys or someone out there enlighten me on this matter.

If you manually oversize the dvdr (4.6 Gb works for me) press the F5 key, this re-enables the start button.

I just backed up a DVD using the "oversize" method on IC7 and it created a 4.2 gig folder.

I set the size to 4.67 on IC.
    Use what works for you...
