  1. I'm attempting to encode an AVI file (MJPEG compression) to an MPEG2 file using TMPGEnc. I'm using 2-pass VBR. I can't seem to get an entire file to encode. It invariably has an error or freezes before it's finished. I've checked the file for errors with Virtualdub. Nothing. Also, it doesn't freeze at the same point. This is driving my crazy! (and my wife, since I'm hogging the computer) Can anyone help? I've read the guides and have done everything I can to try and figure out this problem.

My pc is has an AthlonXP 2400, ATI AIW 9000 Pro, 256MB PC2100 DDR, and a separate 120MB 7200rpm HDD as a scratch drive. Thanks!
