Well, not exactly freezing, but it simply stops outputting the video and stays stuck in one spot until I have to Alt-Cntrl-Dlt and end the program (the "abort output" button doesn't work in this situation).

The DVD I'm trying to output has motion menus that get "stuck" during the output process. Whenever it gets stuck, it seems to get stuck at the end of one motion menu. Strangely, it successfully finishes one or two pages of menus before getting stuck on the next page and then on the next try it will get stuck on a menu page it was able to finish on the previous try.

DVD Author 3 has worked great for me in the past when making still image w/ audio menus. I know I have the "Use Background Audio" box selected. In the simulation mode, everything works absoulutely perfect.

Does anyone have any idea why it'd stop the output process?

  2. Sounds like you have a bad source file. Many TDA problems are caused by bad source files.
