    im using the Pine Pioneer USB 2.0 External DVD-RW Drive,and nero, with all the plugins and codecs...but after i encode it, it wont let me burn it on a dvd-r that i have..the disc saya its generally for data......is that why, can soemone tell me whats up......

  2. Well I suspect/it sounds like you are trying to burn a MPEG1 encode file to a DVD-R disc in DVD-video mode.

    You need to use your encode MPEG as a video source, then author (see guides to left) the DVD, then burn the authored VIDEO_TS folder to your DVD-R disc.

    There are freeware (IFOEdit) and commerical (eg. Ulead) to do this. Freeware wise take a look at:
