  1. I've been trying to solve this for a few days now and am getting frustrated, so I thought I would come here

Whenever I click on or highlight an XviD encoded avi file, Windows Explorer will crash in about 5 seconds. The file will play just fine, but any time one of these is clicked on, Explorer goes down and comes back up, very frustrating and annoying.

I was wondering if any of you guys have any ideas on how to solve this because I am exhausting my ideas.

    Thanks in advance guys,

  2. Nevermind, I fixed it. Somehow the latest version of the (unstable build) Koepi XviD codec had become corrupted, when I removed it manually and reinstalled the latest stable build, the problem went away. It's just strange that the file would play with a corrupt codec, but cause Explorer to crash.

    Oh well, FYI,
