  1. Ok, I'd like to know what I need to do to fix the headers or whatever in VOB files. I noticed that when I play a DVD in PowerDVD I can use the nav slider, but when I rip it using DVD Decryptor in IFO mode the nav slider in PowerDVD won't work when viewing the VOB. It plays fine, but the bloody slider won't work. How do I fix this without wasting hours re-encoding?

  3. you should get ifoedit and load your ifo file into it and it will make new ifo and bup files. but then again i don't need to do that to play them i just click on one of the vob files and the movie starts up in powerdvd like i was reading from a dvd in my dvd rom.

Yeah, I can do that too, but when I do, the bloody nav slider doesn't work (click it all you want but it does nothing). I wanna be able to skip to whatever point I want in the 2 hour long VOB.

  5. Are you trying to play the DVD or playing the VOBs. Because if you rip the ENITIRE DVD and play it from your HD it should behave just like the disc in your DVD-ROM drive.

If you just want to rip DVDs your HD and then play them (no editing, encoding, etc). I would rip the DVD in DVD Decrypter to an ISO Image file, install DAEMON tools, and mount the ISO image file (this creates a new drive letter). The ISO file then acts like it's own DVD-ROM drive/disc.

Nice for putting movies on laptops for trips (running from HD instead of DVD-ROM saves battery life).
