I am trying to create an XVCD using an XVID with VBR audio

In VDUB-mp3 I loaded the XVID and did the following,

    -checked for bad frames.(none found)
    -Audio-commpression-none
    -Audio-conversion-44100Hz,High Quality
    -Audio-Direct stream copy
    -Video- Direct stream copy
    --Save avi

I then used the AVI as both audio and video source in TMPGEnc to create a 2pass VBR XVCD.

All went well until I tried to play in my dvd player.
There is audio, and it is in sync, but it is very, very low, almost inaudible.
SOOOOO, has anyone encountered this problem before, or does anyone have any advice?

Is besweet a good program to use for movies with VBR audio? I've tried VDUB-mp3 and Goldwave and I've had nothing but problems with both.

  5. well
must never encode video and audio at the same time
encode video w/ KWAG´s template in Tmpeg (90 minutes AVI take about 120 min to encode w/ great quality using AVISYNTH w/ filters)
then encode audio w/ TMPEG if having problems try BeSweet
remember to do video and audio encode separately it´s faster

Well 2man, I have no idea what your post meant. When I encode the video using TMPGEnc, I need an audio source. Are you suggesting I use besweet to convert the audio and then use that in TMPGEnc with my original XVID using KWAGs template? And also, what is AVISYNTH? Is it a separate program?
