  1. im not a complete newb when it comes to converting but i only really kno about SVCD/DVD converts not vcd, so anyway

    i have a downloaded vid clip, im pretty sure the vid is encoded rite but i think theirs an audio prob the stats for the vid are:

    Num. of picture read: 30
    Stream type: MPEG-1 CBR
    Resolution: 352*240
    Aspect ratio: 4:3 NTSC 525
    Framerate: 29.97
    Nom. bitrate: 728000 Bit/Sec
    VBV buffer size: 20
    Constrained param. flag: Yes
    Chroma format: 4:2:0
    DCT precision: 8
    Pic. structure: FRAME
    DCT type: Frame
    Quantscale: Linear
    Scan type: ZigZag
    Frame type: Progressive


    when i try to author is nero it tells me it wasnt encoded for vcd and encoding w/ nero doesnt work, i tried to demux it w/ tmpg but the video file output is only 1 min long so thats not working for me, anyone kno any encoders that i can run this through to get a compliant VCD?

  3. TMPGEnc is crap, absolute crap, every time i use it, the results are shitty. anyone kno a mpeg-1 encoder comperable to CCE?

    Main Concept Encoder is one of the best MPEG-1 encoders next to TMPGEnc from what I hear. TMPGEnc isn't a crappy encoder, matter of fact, it's a great encoder, you just have to know how to use it properly.
