This is strange.
I capture a 4:3 aspect ration NTSC (occurs also for PAL) movie, and after encoding it with TMPGEnc into SVCD, I get (with "Windows Media Player") the "Long & Thin" effect result. WinDVD replays it ok.
(note: within TMPGEnc, I set "keep aspect ratio"...)
What is going on ?

Don't worry about Windows Media Player as it doesn't display aspect ratio's correct anyway. Your SVCD is OK.
