    Hi. I was reading the dvd compatibility list on the left, and it says that this dvd player supports both vcd & svcd. When I try to play them both there is just a bunch of static through the speakers, and it doesn't play. I would think that if it was not recognized it would say no disc like my apex dvd does. Maybe I'm missing something. Can anybody help. Thanks

    I guess nobody has this player? Anyway I don't know how this dvd compatibility list says this player supports vcd. I just got e-mailed back by Venturer's customer support, and they said the sts20 doesnt support vcd.
